Introduction

The exciting part of Animal Crossing has always been meeting new villagers and especially getting new villagers on your island. I personally love seeing someone new move in and eagerly running to their house or indeed their tent to see not only what they look like but also what personality they have.

While the design and species are a lot of what determines how happy you are to see a newcomer on your island, their personality is especially important. While I hold out hope for more and more peppy villagers, I dread the day that I get more Smug or Snooty villagers.

Bottom Line Upfront

Snooty villagers are not exactly known for their pleasantness or kindness; in fact, they are very judgemental as they love fashion and a high-flying lifestyle and so often look down on others. As Snooty villagers are judgemental, they can often be rude and dismissive to others, although if you get to be closer with them, they are tolerable (at best)

In Animal Crossing New Horizons, there are fifty-seven Snooty villagers, although none of these are your initial starters on your island. While in Animal Crossing New Leaf, a Snooty villager is one of your initial five starters.

Snooty villagers get along best with Smug villagers and their male counterparts. All Snooty villagers are female, and while they can be tolerable with time, they often upset peppy villagers and lazy villagers due to their rudeness and judgemental nature.

What Kind of Villagers are Snooty Villagers?

Snooty Villagers are female villagers and are the female equivalent of Smug male villagers. Snooty villagers are characterized and often described in the following terms;

Snooty Villagers vs. Other Villager Types

Snooty villagers get along well with their male counterparts, Smug villagers, as they are so similar. As Snooty villagers like to judge and look down upon other villagers, so it’s no surprise that they are not very well-liked, particularly by lazy villagers, as snooty villagers often make rude comments to lazy villagers as they do not approve of their lifestyle. Peppy villagers also struggle with Snooty villagers as they find their directness and their sarcasm rude, which makes sense as Peppy villagers are such pleasant happy-go, lucky people.

Snooty Villagers on Your Island

In Animal Crossing New Leaf, you can get a Snooty villager as one of the original five villagers on your island. In Animal Crossing New Horizons, your island starts with a jock and a sisterly villager, while the following three villagers are either normal peppy or lazy, so you will be waiting for some time to meet your first Snooty villager in New Horizons!

Snooty villagers (if you cannot already tell) are not a preferred villager type of mine; the time spent to get to know them hardly makes up for their rudeness and judgemental nature that you endure in the meantime. Even when you do become close with a Snooty Villager, they are tolerable at best.

I personally try and get rid of any Snooty villagers that join my island.
