Squirrels Animal Crossing Guide

Currently, Animal Crossing has 35 different villagers species. Squirrels are one of the most common species, having 19 villagers in New Horizons and 3 more found in previous games that didn’t make the most recent cut. None of the special characters are squirrels, so you can only find squirrels as villagers.

The most noticeable trait of the squirrels is their bushy tail. It swoops up and circles into one big curl almost as large as their heads. They are also quite small, nearly half as tall as the player character, and one of the shortest villager species.

While they all have their own special trait, there is many they share. Almost all of them have stripes emphasizing the shape of their tail, and quite a few have buck teeth.

With the small, cute base design of the squirrels and their wide selection, there is bound to be a squirrel that suits anyone’s tastes.

Squirrels in New Horizons

Of the 19 squirrels found in New Horizons, one is brand new, and the other 18 have been in at least one game prior.

Agent S

  • Personality: Peppy
  • Gender: Female
  • Birthday: July 2
  • Catchphrase: sidekick
  • Star Sign: Cancer
  • Favorite Song: K.K. Rider
  • Hobby: Fitness
  • Games: Animal Forest e+, Wild World, City Folk, New Leaf, Happy Home Designer, Pocket Camp, New Horizons

Agent S is one of a set of four superhero villagers. Each one is assigned a number; Agent S’s is 2. The other members are Kid Cat, Big Top, and Rocket. Each member wears a helmet and full-body suit in their signature color that’s part of their design instead of clothing.

So on top of their suit, they wear a t-shirt with their number. Agent S’s suit is a deep blue with white stripes. Her fur is grey and white, which brings out the saturated colors of her uniform.

She has a brown visor covering her eyes, but you can barely see them. They are half-lidded and, combined with her subtle bucktoothed smile, make her seem cool and confident.

There isn’t a lot of attention for Agent S in the community. She seems to be stuck as just a part of a team without her own personality, and the team itself isn’t all that popular.

She’d make a great addition to a superhero-themed or futuristic island when part of her team. While alone, she might also work well in a city since her helmet makes her look like a biker.

Blaire

blaire animal crossing

  • Personality: Snooty
  • Gender: Female
  • Birthday: July 3
  • Catchphrase: nutlet
  • Star Sign: Cancer
  • Favorite Song: K.K. Bossa
  • Hobby: Fashion
  • Games: Animal Forest, Animal Crossing, Animal Forest e+, Wild World, City Folk, New Leaf, Happy Home Designer, Pocket Camp, New Horizons

Blaire is one of the more realistic-looking squirrels with grey fur and white stripes. She’s got three white stripes on her head and one thing stripe spiraling along her tail.

The bottom half of her face is made of two cream-colored cheeks that curve out from a round brown nose. Her default is a Berry Red Layered Tank Dress that brings a little pop of color to her almost monochrome palette.

Blaire holds a special place in my heart since she was one of my favorite villagers when I played Wild World as a child. She looks the most like the squirrels in my backyard growing up.

I’ve been trying desperately to get her onto my New Horizons island but so far, no luck. I think her simple design aids her sophisticated tastes because she can decorate with fancy items without seeming over the top.

Cally

  • Personality: Normal
  • Gender: Female
  • Birthday: September 4
  • Catchphrase: WHEE
  • Star Sign: Virgo
  • Favorite Song: K.K. Stroll
  • Hobby: Nature
  • Games: Animal Forest, New Leaf, Happy Home Designer, Pocket Camp, New Horizons

Cally has light yellowish brown fur with dark brown stripes and paws. The stripe spiraling along her tail is outlined in white. She’s got a tall face with oval-shaped eyes with brown pupils looking up and to the right.

Her wide nose and mouth sit low on her face between two massive rosy cheeks. The huge eyes and subtle smile make her expression sweet but a little vacant. It seems like she spends a lot of time daydreaming. She wears a Red Fairy-Tale Dress.

Between her dress, expression, and park-esque room in New Horizons, Cally feels like a villager straight out of a storybook. Her normal personality makes her exceedingly kind, while her catchphrase gives her a sense of carefree whimsy. I could easily see her on a fairy-tale island with a house in the forest to play out Little Red Riding Hood.

There’s some interesting history behind Cally’s name. When she appeared in Animal Forest, her name was Sally. During that time, she didn’t appear in any games. However, another squirrel was induced and given the name Sally, so when Cally was reintroduced in New Leaf, her name had to be changed.

Caroline

caroline animal crossing

  • Personality: Normal
  • Gender: Female
  • Birthday: July 15
  • Catchphrase: hulaaaa
  • Star Sign: Cancer
  • Favorite Song: Pondering
  • Hobby: Music
  • Games: Wild World, City Folk, New Leaf, Happy Home Designer, Pocket Camp, New Horizons

Bright red and yellow fur gives Caroline a striking appearance. Her messy hair swoops across her forehead and down curls around the back of her head. She’s got wide eyes partially outlined in black cat-eye style eyeliner and green eyeshadow. Cobalt blue irises take up most of her eyes while darker blue pupils stare ahead.

Her mouth and nose are the same deep maroon, with the nose being a slightly squared oval and the mouth forming an upside-down v beneath. Her Red Striped Maxi Dress compliments both her eyes and her fur.

Her catchphrase and vivid colors give Caroline and tropical feel. This was emphasized in her New Leaf home with sandy flooring, ocean wallpaper, and furniture fit for a beach volleyball match. This idea is toned down in New Horizons, where her house is made to look more like the office of someone obsessed with manga.

Filbert

  • Personality: Lazy
  • Gender: Male
  • Birthday: June 3
  • Catchphrase: bucko
  • Star Sign: Gemini
  • Favorite Song: Stale Cupcakes
  • Hobby: Nature
  • Games: Animal Forest, Animal Crossing, Animal Forest e+, Wild World, City Folk, New Leaf, Happy Home Designer, Pocket Camp, New Horizons

Few villagers have a face that is a perfect example of the ‘no thoughts head empty’ energy lay villages display. Filbert has one of those faces. His perfectly circular eyes with perfectly centered black pupils make it looks like he’s gazing into the void.

Then he’s got eyebrows arched just above his eyes and a wide smile that makes it look like he’s having a good time, even if he does not fully understand what’s going on.

He’s got bright blue fur with a single thick stripe of white accented by darker blue outlines on his forehead. A white stripe and a blue stripe swirl together along his tail. His predominantly wintery color scheme is complimented by his cozy Tree Sweater. Then his sweet pink cheeks and orange ears bring in a touch of warmth.

Filbert is one of the most popular squirrel villagers. He was part of the first batch of villagers released with Pocket Camp, and he appears in the New Horizons cover art, poking his head out of a tent. His laid-back personality, combined with his cute appearance, makes him easily likable.

Hazel

hazel animal crossing

  • Personality: Big Sister
  • Gender: Female
  • Birthday: August
  • Catchphrase: uni-wow
  • Star Sign: Virgo
  • Favorite Song: DJ K.K.
  • Hobby: Play
  • Games: New Leaf, Happy Home Designer, New Horizons

When looking at Hazel, one of her features is bound to catch your eye. Her entire design is centered around her prominent black unibrow. Her straight ginger bangs frame it perfectly, and her eyes are small black dots to prevent drawing your attention. Even if her unibrow is the star doesn’t mean the rest of her is abandoned.

Her eyes may just be dots, but they’re slightly askew, and each has a singular eyelash to ensure they still have personality. Then she’s got cute little buckteeth under a boxy nose and pale pink cheeks.

Her color palette is primarily warm oranges and reds. There’s a touch of turquoise in her ears, but other than that, there are no cool colors. Even her Athletic Jacket is a deep shade of red.

Hazel is the mascot for lovable ugly villagers. Anyone who doesn’t like the most popular pretty villagers and prefers the more unique-looking ones will most likely gravitate toward Hazel.

I’ve never seen people defend and support a character so fiercely for breaking conventional beauty standards. While she’s not one of my favorites, I greatly respect Hazel and the people rooting for traditionally ugly villagers. There’s no fun without variety.

Hazel was also affected by the Cally vs. Sally name trouble mentioned earlier. Sally wasn’t even meant to be named Sally. In the Japanese version of Wild World, her name means Hazel, but there was a mistake in translation, and she was named Sally instead. This left the name open in New Leaf for our favorite unibrowed friend.

Ione

  • Personality: Normal
  • Gender: Female
  • Birthday: September 11
  • Catchphrase: gleam
  • Star Sign: Virgo
  • Favorite Song: Chillwave
  • Hobby: Fashion
  • Games: Pocket Camp, New Horizons

Ione has the most out-of-this-world appearance of any squirrel. Rather than a solid color with a stripe creating a curl, her tail starts as a baby blue and then gradiates into a darker blue.

Then it’s filled with white specks, making it look like a window into space. Her pale blue fur is tipped at the paws with a yellow-green and a dark blue at the ears. These colors fade into each other, making them feel ephemeral and graceful.

Then she has a smooth swoosh of pale yellow hair. Her eyes are vaguely almond-shaped with heavy yellow lids and two yellow teardrop shapes at the corner. Her blue eyes look at you like she knows something you don’t and her pointed mouth under a heart-shaped nose only enforces her coy looks.

As part of the new villagers introduced in New Horizons’ 2.0 update, Ione quickly got a lot of attention. Her cool attitude and cosmic appearance entranced anyone with a fondness for space or cute pastel villagers.

Even her name has sparked discussion as people try to figure out the correct pronunciation and greek mythology and astrology fans emerge to share their knowledge. The correct pronunciation is i-own-e, rhyming with Persephone.

Marshal

marshal animal crossing

  • Personality: Smug
  • Gender: Male
  • Birthday: September 29
  • Catchphrase: sulky
  • Star Sign: Libra
  • Favorite Song: K.K. Bossa
  • Hobby: Music
  • Games: New Leaf, Happy Home Designer, Pocket Camp, New Horizons

Being entirely cream-colored, Marshal looks like a cute little marshmallow. This is then contrasted by his heavily outlined eyes angled inward. For some, this might make him look angry, but his slight upside-down, v-shaped smile makes him look smug. Above his eyes, he’s got spiky beige fringe bangs that fade into his light fur.

Then there are his blurry pink cheeks, making him look a little sweeter. The swirls on his tail are comprised of one beige and one pure white stripe. Besides the lack of his eyes, the darkest color is the navy blue of his Puffy Vest, keeping him warm against the winter chill and visible against any snow.

Alongside Filbert, Marshal is the other most popular squirrel. While Filbert is popular for being cute and chill, Marshal is popular for being cute and cool. As a smug villager, he’s got this intellectual and slightly pretentious air that draws people in.

Combine this personality with his small size, and he’s like a cute marshmallow with only the most sophisticated tastes.

Mint

  • Personality: Snooty
  • Gender: Female
  • Birthday: May 2
  • Catchphrase: ahhhhhh
  • Star Sign: Taurus
  • Favorite Song: K.K. Soul
  • Hobby: Fashion
  • Games: Animal Forest, Animal Crossing, Animal Forest e+, Wild World, City Folk, New Leaf, Happy Home Designer, Pocket Camp, New Horizons

Mint’s fur is a fitting mint-green color. Her dark brown bangs remind me of chocolate chips in mint ice cream. Her side oval eyes are tilted slightly outward and are outlined in a deeper green with three eyelashes at the bottom. Her black pupils have a little sparkle and usually look to the right. Between two rosy cheeks, she’s got a wide w shaped smile.

She’s got two stripes on her tail, one dark green and the other white. Her colorful appearance is only emphasized by her pop Gumdrop Dress.

Since Mint has been in nearly every game, she has had a lot of house designs. In the earliest games, she had a fairly normal house, but as her home has been updated, it has gotten progressively greener.

In Animal Crossing, her interior design was mostly brown and yellow. New Leaf introduced a green wall and a few plants. Now, in New Horizons, everything in her house is white or mint green. While it may seem like a lot, it fits her and gives her more personality.

Nibbles

nibbles animal crossing

  • Personality: Peppy
  • Gender: Female
  • Birthday: July 19
  • Catchphrase: niblet
  • Star Sign: Gemini
  • Favorite Song: K.K. Disco
  • Hobby: Fashion
  • Games: Animal Forest, Animal Crossing, Animal Forest e+, Wild World, City Folk, New Leaf, Happy Home Designer, New Horizons

Since she’s also got a green coat, Nibbles may be mistaken for Mint by people not familiar enough with either. However, Nibbles has a deeper teal coat than Mint’s lighter mint green. Her teal fur is complimented by yellow stripes, three on her head and one large one on her tail.

Softer green freckles pepper her cheeks on either side of her bucktoothed smile. Her eyes’ upper lids are rounded with a thick dark green outline and one curled eyelash. The inner corners of her eyes are slightly more squared off. Her circular black pupils sit toward the center of her face.

She’s got a fruit theme, matching her name as squirrels often like to nibble on discarded fruit or nuts. This theme is expressed in her clothing and interior design.

She wears a watermelon dress, and her interior design always includes two or three items from the fruit series. Her room is always bright and colorful. It can sometimes come across as garish, but it also makes her feel like she isn’t afraid to express herself.

Nibbles spent a bit of time on my island. She was one of the first villagers that just moved in after I forgot to go island hopping after someone else moved out. She didn’t match my usual taste in villagers.

Yet, something about this talkative little squirrel and her obsession with train-themed soap operas made her endearing to me.

Peanut

  • Personality: Peppy
  • Gender: Female
  • Birthday: June 8
  • Catchphrase: slacker
  • Star Sign: Gemini
  • Favorite Song: Forest Life
  • Hobby: Fashion
  • Games: Animal Forest, Animal Crossing, Animal Forest e+, Wild World, City Folk, New Leaf, Happy Home Designer, Pocket Camp, New Horizons

Peanut is like a reversed Filbert. They’ve got the same stripe patterns, but Peanut’s fur is made of shocking pinks and purples instead of wintery blues. Where Filbert is laid-back, Peanut is energetic.

She’s got huge, sparkling eyes and an obnoxiously huge smile. She wears a bright orange and blue Striped Maxi Dress to bring even more color to her palette, and her houses are all filled with bright colors and cute furniture.

While not quite as popular as Filbert, Peanut is still very well known. She was also part of the initial release of Pocket Camp. Her eye-catching pink fur is attractive to anyone looking for ultra-girly or energetic villagers.

Pecan

  • Personality: Snooty
  • Gender: Female
  • Birthday: September 10
  • Catchphrase: chipmunk
  • Star Sign: Virgo
  • Favorite Song: K.K. Love Song
  • Hobby: Fashion
  • Games: Animal Forest, Animal Crossing, Animal Forest e+, Wild World, City Folk, New Leaf, Happy Home Designer, Pocket Camp, New Horizons

For the most part, Pecan looks like a regular squirrel in pattern and coloration. She’s got deep maroon fur with cream and dark brown stripes on her tail. Her face has a cream clover shape forming her cheeks and creating a point at the middle. What sets her apart and cements her personality are her eyes.

They have a diamond shape with two sharp points. They are entirely outlined, but the outer corners are a light brown that shifts to black in her elegant lashes. Then there’s her magenta eyeshadow, giving her a haughty look befitting of the snooty personality type. Her pupils are large and black, keeping the eyes from being overly detailed.

I’m quite surprised at how little I see Pecan online. She seems like a character people would enjoy for her refined personality and killer sense of style.

She’s got that strangely charming mean-girl energy that was perfect for the attitude villagers used to give you in earlier games. Maybe in the future, they’ll change how we interact with villagers again, and she’ll fulfill her role as a truly snooty squirrel.

Poppy

poppy animal crossing

  • Personality: Normal
  • Gender: Female
  • Birthday: August 5
  • Catchphrase: nutty
  • Star Sign: Leo
  • Favorite Song: Forest Life
  • Hobby: Education
  • Games: City Folk, New Leaf, Happy Home Designer, Pocket Camp, New Horizons

Poppy’s face is low on her head and is marked by an almost heart-shaped white marking emerging from her little orange nose. This is then surrounded by her deep crimson fur. Her facial features remind me of early animation.

Her eyes are ovals with triangles cut out and triangular lashes that remind me of some of the first versions of Mickey Mouse. Then she’s got this sweet little v-shaped mouth, like a shy but excited smile. Her fur is perfectly complimented by her green Alpinist Dress.

Poppy is by far my favorite squirrel. I had her on my island for a year and a half before letting her go, and I only did because I already had two normal villagers I knew I would never let leave. She’s the perfect embodiment of a gentle autumn aesthetic.

Ricky

  • Personality: Cranky
  • Gender: Male
  • Birthday: September 14
  • Catchphrase: nutcase
  • Star Sign: Virgo
  • Favorite Song: K.K. Safari
  • Hobby: Education
  • Games: Animal Forest, Animal Crossing, Animal Forest e+, New Leaf, Happy Home Designer, New Horizons

Despite barely being talked about, Ricky’s got a face that’ll leave an impression. His eyes are so huge they overlap to create one side-ways snowman shape. Then there are his massive black pupils staring right at you beneath his severe eyebrows. The look of these brows makes it clear he means business as they angle down to the middle of his eyes.

His mouth is extremely wide and made of three upward curves. It’s hard to even pinpoint the emotion this conveys, somewhere between determination and mischief. Even his colors are aggressive, with lemon-yellow fur detailed with white and bright blue stripes.

It’s baffling how little attention Ricky gets. He’s got such a funny face and shows so much personality. I guess everyone is used to it since he has been around so long, and he doesn’t fit the usual cute or cool villager styles that get the most popular. I hope any Ricky fans out there are having a blast with this funky little guy.

Sally

  • Personality: Normal
  • Gender: Female
  • Birthday: June 19
  • Catchphrase: nutmeg
  • Star Sign: Gemini
  • Favorite Song: Only Me
  • Hobby: Music
  • Games: Wild World, City Folk, New Leaf, Happy Home Designer, New Horizons

Sally radiates chill vibes. She’s got big eyes, but they are half-covered by her dusty purple lids. Then she’s got this w-shaped smile that makes it seem like she’s down for anything, even if she isn’t the most energetic about it.

Beyond that, her design is fairly simple, with ginger fur and rounded red-brown stripes. Her laid-back look is even further exemplified by her grey Snowy Sweater. She looks insanely comfy at all times.

The final part in the trilogy of squirrel name swaps. After Cally had been out of the series for a while, Sally was introduced and named Hazel in Japan.

However, when Wild World was translated, she was accidentally given Cally’s original name. Maybe it’s just what I’m used to, but I think the names these three ended up with suit them well, so it all worked out in the end.

Sheldon

sheldon animal crossing

  • Personality: Jock
  • Gender: Male
  • Birthday: February 26
  • Catchphrase: cardio
  • Star Sign: Pisces
  • Favorite Song: K.K. Country
  • Hobby: Play
  • Games: New Leaf, Happy Home Designer, New Horizons

As the only jock squirrel (except for one villager who didn’t make it past Animal Forest), Sheldon has more competitive energy than the other squirrels. He’s got tiny circular eyes with big black pupils.

Above that, he’s got small teardrop-shaped eyebrows angled inward. They make him look laser focused and ready to take on a challenge. His fur is burnt orange and muted yellow.

His body is primarily yellow and moves up to his snout then his head and tail are orange. His cheeks are speckled with orange freckles from his time exercising outside. His green Tige Jacket matched his ears and gave him a sporty vibe.

I rather like the look of Sheldon since he feels very different from the other squirrels. His tiny eyes set him apart from the typical trend, and he has some unique patterning on his tail.

I also like it when little villagers have the jock personality because they talk this big game of being ultra-strong when they don’t even come up to your shoulder.

Static

  • Personality: Cranky
  • Gender: Male
  • Birthday: July 9
  • Catchphrase: krzzt
  • Star Sign: Cancer
  • Favorite Song: Surfin’ K.K.
  • Hobby: Music
  • Games: Animal Forest, Animal Crossing, Animal Forest e+, Wild World, City Folk, New Leaf, Happy Home Designer, Pocket Camp, New Horizons

Static definitely has one of the more shocking appearances. His deep purple fur makes the neon green and yellow lighting bolt on his head pop. Filbert and Peanut are the only other ones with such bright saturated colors making up their whole design. He’s clearly meant to make an impression with an electric theme.

His eyebrows come down over his eyes, making them half circles, and he’s got a wide yet flat smile. The entire expression makes it feel like he’s trying to challenge me. His Dragon Jacket makes him look even tougher.

His whole macho persona made me very surprised to find that he wasn’t a jock. I can’t match the cranky grandpa villagers I’ve had on my island to this angry little ball of fluff.

Sylvana

  • Personality: Normal
  • Gender: Female
  • Birthday: October 22
  • Catchphrase: hubbub
  • Star Sign: Libra
  • Favorite Song: Spring Blossom
  • Hobby: Nature
  • Games: Animal Forest e+, New Leaf, Happy Home Designer, Pocket Camp, New Horizons

Sometimes villagers are given designs meant to resemble a slightly different animal than their true species. Sylvana’s white fur and brown mask-like marking make her look like a ferret. The white stripe on her tail doesn’t swirl like most squirrels. Instead, it does a little dip and then goes into a gentle curve.

She’s got a little square nose and a w-shaped mouth. While the fur next to her ears is white, the ears themselves are brown, tipped with black. Her light brown fur is complemented by a green Kiwi Dress. Almost making her entire design look like a little kiwi.

Sylvana is a subtle but cute villager. I don’t see her around much, and I’ve never encountered her in any game, but I can tell she’d be a villager I’d absolutely fall in love with. Normal is my favorite personality type; I always like villagers with more natural-looking designs.

Tasha

tasha animal crossing

  • Personality: Snooty
  • Gender: Female
  • Birthday: November 30
  • Catchphrase: nice nice
  • Star Sign: Sagitarius
  • Favorite Song: K.K. Synth
  • Hobby: Fitness
  • Games: Animal Forest e+, New Leaf, Pocket Camp, New Horizons

Our final squirrel is one with attitude. Tasha gives me the impression of someone that lives in a big, fashionable city. Her eyes are barely half circles, with grey liner and curled lashes.

She’s bot thin golden irises with narrow black pupils. The gold of her eyes brings a lot of attention to them since the rest of her body is comprised of grey, black, and white.

Her eyebrows are slightly arched, like she’s somewhat intrigued, and her bangs fade from a wintery blue-grey into white. Even her tail has a unique style as it’s white with a black base without any stripes. Her brown Collarless Coat makes her fashion sense seem both stylish and functional.

Much like Pecan, I’m surprised at the lack of attention given to Tasha. She’s got such an obvious attitude and style that doesn’t seem to be recognized very often in the community. While I’ve never found her in my games, I’d invite her to my island in a heartbeat to bring a touch of sophistication.

Squirrels Not in New Horizons

Not every villager makes it into every game. Sometimes there’s a lack of interest in the character, or they were made for a gimmick that isn’t used anymore. These three squirrels have met this fate as they only appear in one game that isn’t New Horizons.

Kit

  • Personality: Jock
  • Gender: Male
  • Birthday: Unknown
  • Catchphrase: Dakyo (translates roughly to hugging)
  • Star Sign: Libra
  • Games: Animal Forest e+

This squirrel only appeared in Animal Forest e+, a Japanese-exclusive update to the original Gamecube game. This update included the use of e-cards, which are an early version of amiibo.

These cards allowed you to access special items in-game. Kit could only be accessed through his e-card. I imagine that this and his plain design kept him from returning later in games.

Kit had red fur, a completely white tail, and white accents on his paws and snout. He looked like an early version of Poppy.

Cece

cece new leaf

  • Personality: Peppy
  • Gender: Female
  • Birthday: May 28
  • Catchphrase: Stay Fresh
  • Star Sign: Gemini
  • Favorite Song: Bubble Gum K.K.
  • Games: New Leaf

Cece is a special villager in New Leaf. She is one of a few characters that reference other games and can be found by scanning the amiibo card for that game. Her design and interests are based on Callie, one of the two Squid Sisters from Splatoon.

If you scan Callie amiibo into New Leaf, Cece will appear at Harv’s R.V. park, and you can invite her to move to your town. She was not included in New Horizons since Sanrio characters were the only crossover characters included.

She has pink fur, black mask-like markings, and a beauty mark to mimic Callie’s look. A pink and white beret rests at an angle on her head. Then a swoop of magenta hair emerges from beneath it.

The ear not covered by the hat is white with a blue inside and a small white earring. Her shirt is black with three pink strips, meant to look just like the dress that Callie wears. It’s even called the Callie shirt.

Viche

  • Personality: Normal
  • Gender: Female
  • Birthday: July 7
  • Catchphrase: Splatastic
  • Star Sign: Cancer
  • Favorite Song: Bubble Gum K.K.
  • Games: New Leaf

Viche is the sister character to Cece and is based on the other half of the Squid Sisters duo, Marie. So she is found the same way, scanning Marie’s amiibo and finding her in Harv’s R.V. park.

Being a pair of pop-star sisters may be another reason Cece and Viche didn’t make it past New Leaf. They would have competed for that role from the rabbit sisters Francine and Chrissy.

Much like the Squid Sisters, Cece and Viche’s designs mirror each other. While Cece is primarily pink, Viche is predominantly green. She also looks much more reserved, having half-lidded eyes for a calmer expression.

She sports the same black markings on her face, though the beauty mark is on the other side, and her eyebrows match her yellow-grey hair rather than her black mask.

She also has an angled hat though this one is on the opposite side and much taller and more rigid than Cece’s floppy beret. Viche wears the same black shirt as Cec with green stripes and has long white markings on her paws to resemble elbow-length gloves.

FAQs

Question: What are All the Squirrels in Animal Crossing?

Answer: There are nineteen squirrels in New Horizons: Agent S, Blaire, Cally, Caroline, Filbert, Hazel, Ione, Marshal, Mint, Nibbles, Peanut, Pecan, Poppy, Ricky, Sally, Sheldon, Static, Sylvana, Tasha. The three squirrels not found in New Horizons are Kit, Cece, and Viche.

Question: Is Marshal a Squirrel in Animal Crossing?

Answer: Yes, Marshal is a small white squirrel found as a villager in Animal Crossing. I would bet he’s the most popular squirrel villager.

Question: Is Lone a Rare Villager?

Answer: No. While people might feel like Ione would be rare since she’s part of the newest batch of villagers introduced in the New Horizons 2.0 Update, she has the same chance of appearing as any other villager.
